GIRLS SOCCER

The 2016 Girls Soccer Team had a very impressive season. They finished at 9-5-2, qualifying for the State Tournament without the Sullivan rule for the first time in over 10 years. Once again, they traveled to Lakeville to play Apponequet Regional High School.  There would be no winner in regulation like last year however.  After a terrific goal from Chae Diani and some remarkable saves by Kat Buchanan, none bigger than the one early in the game down her left hand side. After goals from either side in the first half, it would take penalty kicks to determine the winner.  See Alyssa Lum’s final kick to send Milton to the second round.

Milton would then host Canton High School, though falling to a lively Bulldogs squad.  Milton only graduates 3 starters and will look forward to another promising season in 2017.
