After falling to Natick before the winter break, Boys Basketball responded well to down a good Walpole side by a score of 65-59.
After the JV team won their game with a buzzer beating 3-pointer, the Varsity knew they had to produce in theirs. Walpole were very disciplined, only committing 18 fouls all game, but Milton played good defense and shot well, especially in the second quarter as Aiden Johnson hit four 3s to take a solid lead into half-time. The game never looked in doubt for the Wildcats but for some shaky moments in the fourth quarter. After a late surge by Walpole, Milton finished the game professionally, winning 65-59, improving to 3-1 on the season (2-1 league). Aiden Johnson led the team with 19 points, while Eddie Hassell scored all 10 of his points in the second half.
Their next game is Friday 1/6 HOME vs Wellesley, 6:00pm.
